Wet vinyl installation.

Those who are still learning need the flexibility that wetting solutions can offer. Vinyl flooring installation typically takes between 1 2 days to complete. At tvd vinyl decals we evaluate both installation methods on all of our decals to determine and recommend the best method for our customers to use. Leave your vinyl flooring to acclimatise in the intended room for 24 hours.

Small vinyl lettering and decals should be installed dry. 2 1 lay the vinyl wrap on the flat sur face without removing the lining. Tape the piece to hold it in place. Mix 1 or 2 drops of liquid dish soap in a spray bottle of water.

The wet method is usually recommended for the larger simple designs and any application where the application surface is recessed or embossed ie. The wet application method applies a vinyl graphic to a substrate by using a fluid to assist with positioning. Application vvivid vinyl wraps may be dry or wet applied. Spray your surface and the bottom of the vinyl after removing the liner with water.

Turn off any underfloor heating. For vinyl sheet flooring add 75ml to each edge to allow for cutting and trimming. Use the support to remove any excess trim around the area. The dry method as its name indicates does not use fluid but rather depends on the skill of the installer to correctly position the film.

Some types of vinyl flooring such as plank and tile need a few days to acclimate to the temperature and humidity in your home prior to the installation.
